1.0 LEAGUE STRUCTURE
The League consists of 24 teams in 3 divisions (8 in
each Div). No person can manage 2 teams except in
extreme circumstances where the games commissioners
approval has been given, and the entire league notified
(note this situation often only occurs when a manager is
acting as caretaker for another manager for a short
period of time). |
|
|
2.0
SQUAD SIZES
If any club is unable to select a full starting line up
including a full complement of substitutes, (16 players in total),
for any game whether in the League or the Cup, then that club will
be fined £250,000 for each player that Kick Off needs to add to the
squad in order for the game to run. Any clubs involved in this type
of fine will be notified straight after the games have been played
and fine will be deducted from the club balance as soon as the
finances are next updated. |
|
|
3.0 FINES
The Commissioner has the right to fine a team when he
believes a manager has acted outside of the rules directly or
indirectly, or outside the spirit of the game by using
in-appropriate conduct. |
|
|
3.1 APPEALS AND PROTESTS
If a manager believes the games commissioner has treated
them unfairly, they may appeal any decisions made. The appeal is
made to the games commissioner himself. If the games commissioner
does not accept the appeal, the rest of the league shall be asked to
form an opinion. Furthermore, if a manager believes another manager
has acted inappropriately then they must appeal to the games
commissioner. The games commissioner will only act when it receives
a complaint or appeal from another manager. |
|
|
4.0 LEAGUE COMPETITION
The League is divided to 3 divisions, each contains 8
teams. During the season, each team play the teams within
their division twice (home and away). |
|
|
4.1 PROMOTION/RELEGATION
At the end of the season, the top two teams in each
Division will get promoted, and the bottom two relegated where
relegation and promotion is possible. |
|
|
5.0 KICK OFF CUP
The Kick Off Cup is a part league, (Where each clubs
plays each other once at a neutral venue), and knockout Cup
Competition, (Again played at a neutral venue over one
leg), quite like the Champions League. Both the
leagues and knockout stages will be randomly drawn
by the games commissioner. The prize money on offer is
very lucrative, the win/draw bonus will be the same as
the league proper. For each team that advances past
the group stage a bonus of £500,000 will be paid to their
club balance. A further £500,000 will be awarded to each
club who progress to the next round of the knockout stage.
The team who wins the cup will receive £4,000,000 and the
runner up will receive £2,000,000. Any game resulting in a
draw shall be decided on a Penalty shootout. A
Penalty Shootout follows normal rules. |
|
|
6.0 "INTERVIEW WITH A MANAGER"
Managers my submit an "Interview with a Manager" at any
point in the season. As payment the club involved will be
paid a £500,000 fee. Also this will add more fun to
the league. These interviews/press conferences may contain
any type of questions, such as recent transfer
listing of players, player transfers, any match
analysis and just about anything happening at their club.
The questions are to be set by yourself and can be related
to anything in Kick Off. |
|
|
7.0 NEWS ITEMS
Any manager contributing a news item will be paid a
smaller interview fee of £150,000. The limit to the amount of news
articles posted per week will be limited to 1 per week. |
|
|
8.0 MANAGER OF THE MONTH VOTING
Each month a Word document will be sent to every manager
in Kick Off highlighting the past months form of each
club. From this all I ask of every manager in Kick Off is
to email me with their vote for who they should think
should get the Manager of the Month Award for both the
Premier and Division One. There are a few quite simple
rules however:-
1. You can’t vote for yourself, (Fairly obvious really!).
2. You must vote for both the Premier and Division One.
3. In the event of a draw, my vote will be used as the
decider.
4. Everyone MUST vote.
On the last rule, after 2 days voting I will start to name
and shame managers who haven’t yet voted, if I know you
are away then that’s not a problem, but the Manager of the
Month will not be announced until ALL votes are in. If
after 5 days have passed and still there is or are
managers who still haven’t voted then that or those
managers will be fined £250,000 and the results will be
published regardless. The only reason for this is if
everyone else has taken the time to vote then I feel those
who don’t should be penalised in some way, hopefully this
is something that I will never have to do and I hope you
all agree it is in everyone’s benefit that everyone votes. |

|
9.0 MANAGER OF THE MONTH REWARD
Any manager awarded the Manager of the Month award will be
awarded a set of ability points to assign to 2 of their
players. A manager can nominate 2 players in their squad,
who must play in different positions, and the commissioner
will assign 300 ability points to that players 2 secondary
stats areas. |
|
|
10.0 END-OF-SEASON AWARDS
At the end of each season, the League has various
awards it gives out to players, managers and teams. Some
of these awards are based on voting by other managers.
These include the Player-of-the-Year (each Div and
overall) and the Manager-of-the-Year (each Div and
overall). None of these awards carry any financial or
ability point bonuses, and are only for prestige. |
|
|
10.1. END OF SEASON
LEADERS AWARDS
The leading player and runner up in each of the areas
below will be awarded the following stat/ability point
awards at the end of the season for been the top performer
in their area of expertise:-
TOP SAVES - 1 full stat increase
Runner up - 400 ability points
TOP TACKLES - 1 full stat increase
Runner up - 400 ability points
TOP PASSES - 450 ability points
Runner up - 300 ability points
Top ASSISTS - 450 ability points
Runner up - 300 ability points
TOP GOAL SCORER - 450 ability points
Runner Up - 300 ability points
These points maybe slightly updated towards the end of the
each season to reflect any stat area that is far ahead of
another so that one area does not streak far ahead of the
rest, prior notice will be given by the games
commissioner. |
|
|
11.
YOUTH EXPERIENCE BONUS
Any player aged 21 and under as the squads stand at the
end of the season, who have played 540 mins or more on either the
1st team or reserves will
receive 600 ability points to each of their ability areas.
The one exception to this rule is an outfield player will
not receive an increase to their “St/Keeper” stat and
keepers will only receive ability points to their
“St/Keeper” area. I think the reasons for are more or less
straight forward. |
