RULES - TRANSFERS

HOME NEWS FORUM KO CUP CLUBS LINKS

1.0 PLAYER TRANSFERS
A list of completed transfers will be published after each set of games, either mid week if a Cup Game has been played or at the Weekend after a league game, (however updates may appear daily on the website).

2.0 CONFIRMING A TRANSFER
When a deal is agreed, it must be confirmed by BOTH managers by emailing the games commissioner. The email must have a subject title consisting of the word Transfer and the relevant transfer template MUST be used.

3.0 BUYING AND SELLING PLAYERS FROM THE TRANSFER LIST

A player who is placed on the transfer list will go to the highest bidder when the transfers are processed after the next Cup or League game unless a deal is struck with the selling manager privately. This is to make the game fair for managers who have less internet access.
Once a transfer has been confirmed by both managers, it cannot be cancelled (except by the games commissioner).

Tip: Only one manager needs to fill in a Transfer Request. This manager can send it to the other manager when they send it to the games commissioner. The other manager can then send the same copy to the games commissioner.

4.0 TRANSFER DEADLINES
The transfer deadline for deals to be processed will be 10.00pm every Tuesday evening for a player to be eligible to play in the coming weekends games, and the same deadline as the team sheet deadline for transfers to be processed after the weekend games have been played (Meaning the player will be eligible for any mid-week games).

5.0 GENERAL RULES
5.1 All players transferred are not eligible for their new club until after the next League or Cup game has been played after the deal has been agreed.

5.1 GENERAL RULES (Cont)
You must wait until a player joins your team before transferring him. This includes players returning from a loan.

5.2 GENERAL RULES (Cont)
All exchanges of cash and players must occur at the point of the deal being processed and cannot be done in instalments, or based on future events.

5.3 GENERAL RULES (Cont)
Players who have been scouted and added to the transfer list will go to the highest bidder, these deals will be processed at the same time as all other transfers, either after League or Cup games.

6.0 APPEALING AGAINST TRANSFERS
If a manager believes a transfer between two teams is unfair or disadvantages one team by too much, they can appeal against it to the games commissioner. When an appeal is made, there must be sufficient argument provided why the deal should be withdrawn. Furthermore, a minimum of 2 managers, not involved in the deal, MUST submit a separate appeal.

7.0 TRANSFER REVERSAL DUE TO QUITTING/SACKINGS
Any transfer(s) that takes place will be subject to a 4 week quarantine period. If a manager quits during any transfer(s) quarantine period that one of their current or ex-players may be involved in, both inwards and outwards,  then that transfer(s) will be reversed if Kick Off feels necessary, with any player(s) involved returning to their original club and any monies refunded to the correct place. This is to keep the transfer system as fair as possible for all managers, so no manager gains advantage from prior knowledge of another managers decision to quit and to safe guard each club to make sure that any new managers are not left with a depleted squad.

8.0 CANCELLING TRANSFERS
When a transfer has been confirmed by both managers, it CANNOT be cancelled by either manager. Only the games commissioner has the power to cancel any deals.

9.0 TWO WEEK TRANSFER RULE
Any purchased player must remain in their new squad for at least 2 weeks. Any transfers that include a player who hasn't been at their club for 2 weeks will be not be processed.

10.0 LOAN RULES
10.1 Teams are allowed to be involved in as many loan deals as they want per season. Regardless of if you are loaning a player to another club, or if you are bringing a player to your team.

10.1 LOAN RULES (Cont)
Loans must be negotiated by the managers, and both managers must email the details of the loan to the games commissioner for it to be confirmed. The subject of the email must consist of the words "Player Loan" and the name of the two clubs involved, the length of loan and NOTHING ELSE.

10.2 LOAN RULES (Cont)
A list of players on currently loan will be available on the website.

10.3 LOAN RULES (Cont)
Loan deals are not subject to any fees, loans deals will be totally free for each party involved. Any loan deals where there is money involved will not be processed.

10.4 LOAN RULES (Cont)
A loan deal must be for a minimum of 2 weeks.

11.0 RETIREMENTS
Once a player reaches 35, he will retire automatically for no compensation, unless special exemption is sought. The exemption costs a club £300,000 per season per player (cost of the special trainer required to keep the player fit), payable immediately at the start of each season. This means a player can play on until the end of the season where he is shown as being 34, but for him to carry on playing into the next season where he will reach 35 compensation has to be paid. If no compensation is paid then the player will retire automatically at the end of the season where he is aged 34. However, a player will always automatically retire at 40.

12.0 AUCTIONS

An auction may be help by the games commissioner at any point in the season. You will be given ample notice of any up and coming auction (At least 2 weeks), however the number of players added, their positions and general stats will not be released. The reason for this is that auctions should not be relied upon as a way of bringing new and better players to your club.

12.1 AUCTION PLAYER STATS

Players who are scouted into Kick Off will have a slight restriction on what their main stat can be. The highest that a scouted players main stat can be is one less than the best player in that position that already exists in the game. This is to reward managers for sticking with player's that they already have and promote managers to bring players in the game rather than rely on the transfer market. This however does not apply to goalkeepers, who's main stat may be equal to that of the best goalkeeper already in Kick Off.

Please, understand that these bids, among with the transfers are enormous work for the games commissioner, and following the rules is very important !
